Wright Materials Research Co. (WMR) is a small disadvantaged business. It was founded in the Dayton area of Ohio on 1 January 1990 . The President is Dr. Seng C. Tan. WMR was awarded 8(a) status on June 15, 1993.
WMR has been working on government and industry sponsored R&D projects. We have extensive experience in the processing and fabrication of many materials, including:

WMR also performs stress analysis for various static and dynamic loadings using analytical, finite element, boundary element and combined FEM/BEM methods, failure prediction, and design. WMR has several allowed and some pending patents.

National Tibbetts Award
WMR has won the National Tibbetts award issued by SBA at Washington D.C. Named for Roland Tibbetts - acknowledged as the father of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program - these prestigious national awards are made annually to those small firms, projects, organizations and individuals judged to exemplify the very best in SBIR achievement. The emphasis is on recognizing those accomplishments where, in the judgment of those close to hand and often most immediately affected, the stimulus of SBIR funding has made an important and significant difference.
WMR is a two time winner of the National Tibbetts Award. 2001(6th) and 2007 (12th)
